LIGHT OF HOPE HOME & SCHOOL FOR GIRLS OUR GROWTH:
God is at work in Naivasha, Kenya and is giving rise to a powerful force for change.
1998
Boni and Sandy purchased eight acres of land in the Rift Valley outside of Naivasha, Kenya.
2005
Built the dormitory and a temporary classroom. Major milestone: 6 girls welcomed to Light of Hope.
2006
Additional temporary classrooms were constructed. 10 girls cared for by Light of Hope.
2007
30 girls cared for by Light of Hope.
2008
Added electricity and a well, added a front gate, guardhouse and the campus was enclosed for the safety of the girls, and introduced a music program. 40 girls cared for by Light of Hope.
2009
Added a playground, volleyball and basketball court, expanded our chicken coop. 50 girls cared for by Light of Hope.
2010
Added a building for a future medical clinic and office, restroom and shower facility, purchased 7 additional acres and planted organic gardens. 60 girls cared for by Light of Hope.
2011
Added a high school dorm, four permanent classrooms, purchased uniforms. 65 Girls girls cared for by Light of Hope
2012
We finished the interior of our medical clinic. Installed purified water system, added sidewalks to property. 70 girls cared for by Light of Hope
2013
Major milestone: Our first students graduated from high school. Constructed Wokovu Hall; our kitchen, dining hall and gathering place, property is enclosded for safety, received an Environmental Award. 75 girls cared for by Light of Hope
2014

2015
Dormitory to provide safe living for up to 160 girls constructed. 95 Girls cared for by Light of Hope
2016
Added computer lab and continued leadership development program. 90 girls cared for by Light of Hope
2017
Installed solar panels and built laundry facility. 125 girls cared for by Light of Hope

Installed WiFi tower and expanded the computer lab. 135 girls cared for by Light of Hope
